THE MADDENING RAIN

by Nicholas Pierpan

Old Red Lion, Soho Theatre, 59E59 New York
2010-2011

Torn between Chilean lithium deals and finding his first love once again, one man battles to find his way in the tough world of finance. Rising from nowhere to become a City trader, when he realises the sky’s the limit he finds his only problems are the people in his way.

Nicholas Pierpan‘s electric play is a brutally funny tale of lust and betrayal in the City and was directed by Matthew Dunster (National Theatre, Young Vic and Shakespeare’s Globe) and performed by Felix Scott.

Following their original production at the Old Red Lion Theatre in September 2010, David Luff and Richard Darbourne co-produced the UK tour and New York and Soho Theatre runs with Upstart Theatre Company in November 2011.
